FRENCH LANGUAGE STUDIES DIPLOMAS RECOGNISED BY THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE

All the exams comply with the requirements of the Common European Framework of Reference (CECR) of the Council of Europe according to a scale of the 6 levels A 1, A 2, B 1, B 2, C 1, C 2 defined for training qualifications in foreign languages.

We offer a series of courses enabling you to prepare for foreign language exams.

DELF French Language Studies Diploma

DELF A1

This level recognises basic knowledge. It is the most basic level at which a language is used, called the "discovery" stage. At this stage, the learner can interact in a simple way: he/she can speak about him/herself and his/her immediate environment.

DELF A2

DELF A2 is based on the same principle: it recognises the linguistic competence of a basic user, considered as a social player. The candidate can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring the most common polite phrases and exchanges of information.

DELF B1

At this level, the user becomes independent. He/she can maintain interaction: he/she can understand and maintain a discussion and give his/her opinion. He/she is capable of dealing with situations likely to arise in daily life.

DELF B2

A B2 user has a degree of independence that allows him/her to construct arguments to defend his/her opinion, explain his/her point of view and negotiate. At this level, the candidate has a degree of fluency and spontaneity in regular interactions and is capable of correcting his/her own mistakes.

DALF Advanced French Language Diploma

DALF C1

Proficient user with effective skills. He/she can understand a wide range of demanding and longer texts and recognise implicit meaning. He/she can express him/herself fluently and spontaneously without having to search for the right words. He/she can use the language flexibly and effectively for social, professional and academic purposes. He/she can produce clear, well structured detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organisational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.

DALF C2

Proficient user with effective operational skill. He/she can understand with ease virtually everything he/she reads or hears. He/she can render facts or arguments from a variety of written or oral sources, summarising them coherently. He/she can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in more complex situations.
